The mission of IcesteinX, it to leverage our own high resolution all-weather small-satellite-constellation, along with ‘smallholder-farmer generated camera imagery’, to empower '1 million' of Indias over 100 million smallholder farmers, as ‘digitally verified; natural farming soil CO2 sequesters’, and fully integrate them into the ‘global voluntary carbon market economic system'.

This is for the sole aim of; prioritising increasing their income, and achieving a wide range of Social Impact objectives related to enhancing the lives of smallholder farmer rural agriculture communities across India.

For too long, the focus on carbon sequestration, has been led through a largely, institutional ‘pure profit centric’, and in many instances, ‘image enhancement framework’, that has existed to service the global emissions reduction targets of the worlds largest companies across their respective sectors.

As the result of this ‘matter of fact’, the worlds forests, have been the main focus of attention, which in the beginning of the creation of carbon credits, was mathematically logically the main avenue to pursue, in been able to quantify global carbon stocks as the result of the recognised impact on human life, of a largely ‘hydrocarbon dependent’, global economy.

In 2023, the very entities that are supposed to safeguard, the validity of ‘CO2 carbon credits' in the battle against climate change, came under scrutiny, in such a manner as to expose large levels of financial deceit, and pure profit driven motives, that ultimately have bought into question, the soundness of carbon credits as instruments to drive positive climate change outcomes.

The result of this, has been ‘the departure from global carbon credit markets’, of many of the worlds leading companies and brands, who were left holding ‘near worthless carbon credits.’

Yes, a ‘stronger’ institutional framework is needed, to ‘repair’ the damage to global carbon markets, and direct the further evolution of global voluntary carbon credit markets, and there are many arguments for this been ‘a centralised framework’ comprising heavily of multi-lateral organisations, governments, and the largest companies in the world - many of whom bare the responsibility ‘for’ damaging the environment, and causing negative impacts to global climate systems.

However, abuse of the 'Global Carbon Credit Markets', by greenwashing companies - working within the 'existing carbon credit multilateral organisation framework', and pure for profit driven greed from the administration of 'carbon sequestration projects', through at best; incompetence, and at worst; outright corruption, has 'endangered' providing much needed financing to already impoverished 'smallholder farmers' in INDIA.
